The Infotech has 125 stalls in which various firms and distributors are showcasing latest technology, gadgets and ICT services, according to Computer Association of Nepal (CAN), Narayani - the organizer of the event.
“They are also offering sales of all types of latest technology at discounted rates,” said Kamal Bastola, coordinator of the Infotech Organizing Committee.
The fair mainly has computers, laptops, solar generators, e-book and electronic goods of reputed brands. The organizer has estimated the event of drawing 200,000 visitors and recording business worth Rs 50 million.
To increase the participation of the younger generation, CAN Narayani has also made special arrangements for the visits of students of various schools in the district in the event. “We have targeted student visitors because we wish the new generation to become familiar with and know technological advancement in the ICT products and services,” stated Bastola.
