People's representatives in Tanahun return government vehicles to contest in local poll

DAMAULI, April 18: People's representatives of Tanahun district have started returning government vehicles that they are using. They started returning the vehicles in order to contest in the local-level election scheduled for May 13.

DAMAULI, April 18: People's representatives of Tanahun district have started returning government vehicles that they are using. They started returning the vehicles in order to contest in the local-level election scheduled for May 13.


Mayor of Shuklagandaki municipality, Kisan Gurung, Spokesperson Khim Bahadur Kumal and Chairperson of Bhimad Municipality-9, Iman Bahadur Thapa returned the vehicles on Sunday. Gurung and Thapa both are preparing to contest again in the local-level election.

Mayor Gurung on Sunday returned the key of the vehicle (Ga 1 Jha 321) that he was using. He handed over the key to the Chief Administrative Officer Leela Ballav Neupane.


Gurung said that although he wanted to return the vehicle soon after the implementation of the election code of conduct it was late due to an official task. Similarly, Chairperson Thapa returned the motorcycle (Ga 1 Ba 1069) he was using to Chief Administrative Officer Teknath Dahal, while Spokesperson Kumal also returned the motorcycle (Ga 1 Ba 746).
