Mother jumps off the Seti bridge with her children

DOTI, July 21: Three of the four family members who jumped in the Seti River are missing while one has been rescued.


Dhauli Devi Bohora (28) and her three children, Radhika (12), Surendra (8) and Sunil (6) had jumped in the river, according to District Police Office, Doti. Surendra was rescued by a fisherman, Manav Bahadur BK while the three are now missing. BK was fishing on the bank of Seti River at Dungkad-Doti suspension bridge.

The four day old incident came to light after ward chairperson Narayan Pachare of Adarsha rural municipality-4 informed the police, according to DSP Lal Bahadur Dhami. “The residents initially searched themselves. After local leaders said that the police needed to be informed, the ward chairperson informed us. By then, it was too late.”


Police are investigating the case. The police have called Dhauli Devi’s husband, Bam Bahadur, Surendra, the rescued child and residents to the District Police Office.
