Labor minister monitors Korean Language Test Center

KATHMANDU, JULY 6: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Sher Bahadur Kunwar has monitored the language test center for workers going to Korea through the EPS system.


Minister Kunwar inspected the examination center at Bhaisepati in Lalitpur on Tuesday afternoon. Minister Kunwar also inquired about the nature of the examination, the method and the rules to be followed by the examinees. The EPS Korea branch under the Department of Foreign Employment conducts examinations for workers going to Korea from Nepal for employment every year.

This year also, the first phase of the examination was held from June 2 to 17 and the second phase from June 27. As many as 200 people had taken the exam at a time. Students are now taking exams through UVT. One day before the exam, the student's biometric data is recorded.


It contains all the information of the students participating in the exam. This year, 44,000 people have participated in the examination on agriculture and animal husbandry, said EPS Korea branch director Pushpa Katuwal.
