Four arrested with prohibited drugs in Jhapa and Sunsari

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Police have arrested four individuals in separate incidents across Jhapa and Sunsari for possessing illegal drugs.

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Police have arrested four individuals in separate incidents across Jhapa and Sunsari for possessing illegal drugs.


On November 17, a police team from the Bhadrapur Municipal Police, Jhapa arrested Binayak Thulung, 27, of Bhadrapur Municipality-3, who was caught with 3 grams of brown sugar.

In a separate operation, a team from the Area Police Office Laukahi and the Narcotics Control Bureau in Biratnagar arrested Bivek Yadav, 20, of Ramdhuni Municipality-1, Sunsari. Yadav, who was entering Nepal from India, was found in possession of 240 Tramanil capsules and 20 nitrazepam tablets.


Additionally, the Area Police Office Mahendranagar arrested Mohammad Dawut, 19, of Barahakshetra Municipality-6, seizing 120 Tramadol capsules and 120 Spaspan tablets. Meanwhile, the Area Police Office in Chatra arrested Samir Rai, 21, of Barahakshetra Municipality-2 with 50 grams of marijuana and 16 Tramadol capsules.


Investigations are underway, and legal action will be taken against the arrested individuals, police said.
