Govinda Raj Gauli, Chief Attorney of the High Government Attorney Office, and Kamala Kafle, head of the District Government Attorney Office, represented the government in the counter-arguments. Although it is a district-level case, government attorneys from the High Government Attorney Office had previously participated in the closed arguments.

A final verdict is expected to be issued today, as the counter-arguments have concluded before Judge Nitij Rai. The closed hearings for the seven defendants in the case have been ongoing before Judge Rai since December 31.

The counter-arguments from the legal practitioners representing the victims of the cooperative concluded on Wednesday, following the arguments from the defendants. The defendants, including Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, Leela Pachai, Krishna Bahadur Gurung, and Ram Bahadur Khanal, are part of the closed hearings. The final verdict will determine whether the defendants will remain in custody for trial or be released for further investigation.
