KATHMANDU, Jan. 9: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the government is working on improving the education sector.
He said this while addressing the 34th PABSON Day program organized by the Private and Residential School Organization, Nepal District Working Committee at Besisahar Municipality-8.

According to him, despite the government's huge investment in the education sector, the achievements have not been significant. Minister Gurung said that the government is committed to fostering education in the coming days to provide quality, skill-based, timely education and to motivate the youth who are migrating abroad so that they can stay in their country.
Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the government has taken the necessary steps to resolve the problems of the cooperative sector by issuing an ordinance to systematize the Cooperative Act. He said, "We want to establish a cooperative fund and make arrangements to receive the savings accumulated in cooperatives."
Since the government has not yet been able to increase capital expenditure as much as it planned to, he said that now it will increase capital expenditure and create employment in the country.
