KATHMANDU, Sept 11: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that the government should invest a significant amount of budget in the education sector due to damages of physical infrastructure in education sector by earthquake as well as high demand of quality education. 

At a programme organised here today on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the Baneshwor Multiple Vampus, President Bhandari said that community campuses have to move ahead by facing new challenges of education sector. The government and bodies concerned should also pay attention to help the community colleges face the difficulties and challenges."It is the challenge of the hour to make the education sector free and accessible by ending all problems facing this sector." 

President Bhandari also said that the role of students is crucial in speedy development and social transformation as the students are policy makers of future and property of the nation. 

Similarly, Minister for Education, Dhaniram Poudel, said that the community campuses have joined hands on the responsibility of the state of making education accessible to all. 

Stating that the community campuses should be taken ahead as constituent campuses, Minister Poudel said, "The Ministry has been doing homework for the formulation of national policy regarding higher education and an umbrella law for the same." RSS
