DAMAK, Jan 23: A woman in Jhapa has been held in possession of a large cache of drugs. Manju Dhimal of Damak-1 was arrested Monday on the charge of drug trafficking. Police have confiscated 366 capsules of drugs from Dhimal.
DSP Deepak Giri, chief of Area Police Office, Damak informed that Dhimal was involved in buying and selling of drugs and was arrested from her home. He further informed that this is the first time a woman has been caught with such a large amount of drugs.

As per the statement of 39-year-old Dhimal, she has been selling Diazepam, Fenaragon and Lupiseji by wrapping them in a piece of papers. She reportedly buys those drugs from India. It has been easier for her to do so because she is a woman, according to police. A case has been filed against Dhimal on the charge of buying and selling drugs.
In the fiscal year 2016/17, police had nabbed a total of 40 men and four women in drug-related cases. In the current fiscal year, police have arrested nine men and a woman so far in drug cases, as per the details provided by APO, Damak.
