The government, through the budget for Fiscal Year 2013/14, announced plans to build an international-standard exhibition hall and a dry port on the land of the defunct Himal Cement Factory in Chobhar. But the project has failed to take off. Nepal Intermodal Transportation Development Board (NITDB), under the Ministry of Commerce, was assigned the task of implementing the project with financial support of US$ 22 million from the World Bank.
KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Officials of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) who were summoned at the parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Sunday for questioning over the purchase of two wide-body aircraft, faced a barrage of questions but shied away from answering most of them.
SML ISUZU India appointed Goldfish International Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Laxmi Group, as its authorized distributor for Nepal. Officials of Nepal Tourism Board have attributed this rise in tourists arrivals from the northern neighbor to Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli's China visit in mid-June.
KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The government has appointed Madan Kharel as the executive chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). Kharel, a former managing director of the NAC, returns to the helm of the national flag carrier after a gap of three years. He was inducted to the board of directors of the NAC two days back only.
KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board has scrapped license of six traders who were found leasing out stalls allotted to them to other parties. The meeting of the board held on Tuesday decided to scrap licenses of traders classified into a red category.
