KATHMANDU, Oct 6: Air passengers travelling to Lukla and Dang, now can fly with scheduled flights of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). In the face of tourist season as well as the upcoming festival (Dashain, Tihar and Chhat Parva), NAC has announced to start the scheduled flights to Lukla and Dang before Dashain.

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The government has appointed Madan Kharel as the executive chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). Kharel, a former managing director of the NAC, returns to the helm of the national flag carrier after a gap of three years. He was inducted to the board of directors of the NAC two days back only.
KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board has scrapped license of six traders who were found leasing out stalls allotted to them to other parties. The meeting of the board held on Tuesday decided to scrap licenses of traders classified into a red category.
KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Qatar Airways has added a daily flight in the Kathmandu -- Doha sector, following extension of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)'s operation of its international terminal to 21 hours. Currently, the airline company has been operating five flights daily in the sector.

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Tourist arrivals in 2018 has continued to break the old records of the country. Recording a remarkable growth of 18 percent in the first seven month of 2018, tourist arrival reached 593,299, according to a report compiled by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The number was 502,544 in the corresponding period of 2017.
KATHMANDU, July 29: The Ministry of Agriculture Development has said that to achieve the target of doubling agricultural produce in five years, which the government has stated in its annual budget for the Fiscal Year 2018/19, a growth rate of 15 percent has to be achieved on every agricultural product.

KATHMANDU, July 17: Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board and traders at Kalimati market have submitted their statements at Kathmandu District Court on Monday, regarding a case filed by the traders against the board. It is likely that the court will take one or two more days to give its verdict on the case.
KATHMANDU, July 12: Paddy transplantation in eastern tarai districts is lower this season compared to other parts of the country. According to the report, paddy transplantation has been done on 30,625 hectares of land in Jhapa, 13,200 hectares in Morang, 11,000 hectares in Sunsari, 8,100 hectares in Saptari and 10,145 hectares in Siraha so far.
