KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Rajendra Mahato, who abandoned the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and announced the Rastriya Mukti Andolan, was chased away by the police after he tried to breach prohibitory orders and enter a restricted area in the capital.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Rajendra Mahato, who abandoned the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and announced the Rastriya Mukti Andolan, was chased away by the police after he tried to breach prohibitory orders and enter a restricted area in the capital.


Mahato, along with other leaders, attempted to breach the restricted zone at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Wednesday, prompting a confrontation with the police.

According to sources, there was a physical altercation between the leaders, including Mahato, and the police, resulting in injuries.


The march that started from Bhrikutimandap reached the Bhadrakali temple to head towards Maitighar Mandala, where the clash ensued.
