KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Rajbiraj Airport is set to operate night flights after the installation of technology that allows flying even in low visibility conditions.
As the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has installed the instrument flight landing system at the Rajbiraj Airport, the night flights are scheduled to begin from December 16 (tomorrow).

Buddha Air conducted a flight on Friday with the participation of the CAAN and aircraft technicians.
Following the successful flight, it has been confirmed that flights can now take off and land at Rajbiraj Airport even with a visibility of 2,000 meters. Previously, flights could only be operated at the airport when the visibility was 5,000 meters.
