Two dead, 12 injured in Winger accident in Dang

The vehicle was carrying 14 people and may have met with an accident due to high speed.

KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Two people died in a Winger vehicle accident in Dang district.


According to the District Police Office, Dang, two people were killed and 12 others were injured when a Winger vehicle (Lu1 Ja 4298) met with an accident near Chau Khola, Lamahi Municipality-9, along the East-West Highway on Monday morning.

Ishwar Thapa, spokesperson and deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of the District Police Office said that the deceased have been identified as Prithi Tharu, 42, and Fulasi Tharu, 60. Both were the residents of Shivaraj Municipality-3.


The vehicle traveling from Chandrauta, Kapilvastu, to Bardiya met with an accident this morning, DSP Thapa said, adding that the injured are undergoing treatment at Lamahi Hospital.


According to the police, the vehicle was carrying 14 people and may have met with an accident due to high speed.
