“The bank has taken up a target of planting more than 7,000 plants this fiscal year as its CSR project,” Agrawal was quoted as saying in the statement issued on Thursday. Coinciding with the inauguration of the National Games 2016, the plantation program was inaugurated amid a function on Thursday.

Dignitaries and members of the sports council planted 200 saplings to mark the occasion, the bank said. The project will go full-fledged in June when the season is more favorable for planting, NIC ASIA’s Biratnagar Cluster Head Santosh Rathi said at the inauguration.
