Nepal sets modest target of 53 runs against Bangladesh

Sana Praveen was the top scorer for Nepal, scoring 19 runs, while Seema KC contributed 10 runs. No other batter managed to reach double figures.

KATHMANDU, Jan 18:  Nepal's U-19 women's national cricket team has set a modest target for Bangladesh in their first match of the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup. Nepal were bowled out for just 52 runs in 18.1 overs after being invited to bat by Bangladesh at the YSD Oval in Bangi, Malaysia.


Sana Praveen was the top scorer for Nepal, scoring 19 runs, while Seema KC contributed 10 runs. No other batter managed to reach double figures.

Bangladesh's Janaatal Maoua was the leading wicket-taker with two wickets, while Anisa Akter, Fahomida Choya, and Nishita Akter claimed one wicket each. Additionally, five Nepali players were run out by the Bangladeshi fielders.


Bangladesh will now begin their chase for the target.
