Officials say the dedicated service is aimed at addressing harassment and discomfort faced by women in public transportation.

Under the approved action plan, at least 25 ‘Blue Buses’ will be deployed within the first 100 days. The buses will be equipped with safety-focused technologies, with a strong emphasis on enhancing security for women passengers.
