Govt begins discussion on amendment of Civil Service Act

CHITWAN, Dec 10: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Raj Kumar Gupta has said discussion had begun to amend the law relating to civil service. The lawmakers had launched the discussion on the points that surfaced before the bill designed to amend the Civil Service Act.


Talking to a group of journalists on Monday, Minister Gupta shared that the State Affairs Committee under the House of Representatives has forwarded deliberation on the bill since Sunday.

"A total of 1,583 amendment proposals were registered in the bill, so this bill warrants a regular discussion," he added.


The government was for tabling the amendment bill in coming session of the parliament.


The Bill on amendment of the Civil Service Act has been pending for nine years.
