KATHMANDU, Jan 11: CPN(Unified Socialist) leader Ram Kumari Jhakri has said that history should be respected rather than condemned on the occasion of National Unification day commemorating the birthday of Nepal’s unifier King Prithivi Narayan Shah. Jhankri made this statement while making a statement on Facebook on Saturday.
"I still remember the time when I was a child, carrying the national flag, the school flag, the photos of the then King and Queen, and Prithvi Narayan Shah to celebrate Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day," Jhankri wrote. "Let's not condemn history, but remember and respect it."

She also stated that the process of forming a nation takes a long time. "A nation-state is not formed in a flash, it is a long process," she wrote.
