KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Bangladesh will tour Nepal in March 2027 for a three-match T20 International series, with the fixtures dedicated to the memory of victims of the recent devastating floods in Nepal.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed Wednesday that the matches will be staged in Kathmandu on March 26, 28 and 30. The series was agreed following discussions between Bangladeshi State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque and Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari.

According to a press statement issued by the board, Ambassador Bhandari visited the BCB headquarters in Dhaka earlier in the day and met with BCB President Tamim Iqbal. The two sides discussed the proposed tour and broader cricketing cooperation between the countries. The BCB expressed sympathy for flood victims and underscored the significance of dedicating the series to their memory, added the statement.
Officials said the three matches will serve as a platform for Bangladesh and Nepal to strengthen ties through cricket and convey a message of friendship and solidarity at a time of national loss. The BCB also assured the Cricket Association of Nepal of continued cooperation in the wider development of the sport.
Areas of collaboration will include exchange of men’s and women’s tours, high-performance programmes, training and technical support, and other initiatives aimed at benefiting players and cricket personnel in both countries.
