KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to give his statement to the bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari. According to court sources, Lamichhane’s statement and closed arguments will be heard by the bench Judge Adhikari.
Last Thursday, the bench of District Court Kaski Judge Nitij Kumar Rai had ordered the release of Lamichhane and seven others on bail.

Following his release, police handed Lamichhane over to his family with the condition that he appear before the Kathmandu District Court. Lamichhane complied and appeared before the court this morning.
In addition, Lamichhane faces a fraud case related to the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative in Kathmandu. He appeared in court today to provide his statement regarding the case.
Police investigations have revealed that Rs 57.898 crore was illegally transferred from Swarnalaxmi Cooperative to Gorkha Media Network. The government lawyer has requested the recovery of this amount from Lamichhane.
A case is also being pursued against Lamichhane, who was released on bail in the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case in Kaski. Cases are being registered against him in connection with other cooperatives, including Swarnalaxmi in Kathmandu, Supreme in Butwal, Sahara in Chitwan, and Sano Paila in Parsa.
