Current ruling coalition will last for three years: NC General Secy Thapa

Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa claimed that the ruling coalition comprising NC and the CPN-UML– two major parties in the country– will last till the next general election due in three years.

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa claimed that the ruling coalition comprising NC and the CPN-UML– two major parties in the country– will last till the next general election due in three years. 


Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Saturday, General Secretary Thapa, who is also a Member of Parliament (MP), stated that during their nine-month and one-year governance, the NC and UML had achieved accomplishments to be proud of. He also emphasized the need for the current government to focus on essential tasks.

Thapa claimed that the current ruling alliance between the NC and UML will continue until the next general election. He stressed that, over the next three years, the government must deliver good work for the people, as it did in the past.  


He expressed confidence that, like the government led by NC's Girija Prasad Koirala and UML's Manmohan Adhikari, the government formed by the two major parties in the country will benefit citizens in the country.
