CHITWAN, Aug 1: A rescued wounded tiger succumbed to its injuries and died at the Chitwan National Park’s main office cage on Tuesday.
Human-Tiger Coexistence Amidst Rising Tiger Population
The tiger was brought to the cage three months ago after it had injuries on his right leg’s paws. The around 11 year tiger was rescued from Rapti Ekata Community Forest of eastern Chitwan. Apart ro pouncing on its preys, it had also injured a person.
“The tiger was being treated for its wounds. When we had gone to provide food, we found him dead,” Bed Kumar Dhakal, chief conservation officer of CPN said.
