Tiger and rhino found dead in CNP

KATHMANDU, May 7: A tiger and a rhino were found dead in Chitwan National Park (CNP) today.


Inside the area of CNP, a tiger was found dead in Bhimpur while a rhinoceros was found dead in Nawalparasi (Bardghat-Sustapur).

According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, information officer of the CNP, a team deployed from the Nepali Army's security post from Amrite, found the dead tiger and the cause of the death is yet to be known.


Similarly, a male rhinoceros was found dead in the middle of a community forest area of ​​Gundraida located in Kawasoti Municipality-15 of Nawalparasi.


As Tiwari said, it is assessed that the rhino died naturally. The hooves and horn of the rhino remain non-extracted and are protected.
