CHITWAN, Jan 3: A tiger has been transported to the central zoo from the Chitwan National Park. The tiger of approximately two and a half years of age was taken under control from Bayarghari of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-25 under CNP's buffer zone after darting it, said Gopal Ghimire, information officer at the CNP.

An alternative habitat for the tiger was sought after it strayed into local human settlements and started attacking domesticated animals, he said, adding that the tiger may have been separated from its mother by accident.
