Kamlaharis to demonstrate demanding release of budget

DANG, Dec 6: The freed Kamlaharis or girl bonded labourers of western Nepal are to carry out a movement concentrated in Kathmandu, in protest against the Government´s failure to release the budget allocated for them.



They have argued that the allocated budget is not sufficient and the allocated amount has also not reached to them on time.[break]



The freed Kamlaharis in Dang, Banke, Bardia, Kailali, Kanchanpur are preparing to gathering in Kathmandu, the Freed Kamlahari Development Forum has said.



A gathering of the former bonded labourers held in Ghorahi on Sunday decided to hold a gathering of hundreds of Kamlaharis and wage a movement in Kathmandu.



The Government has allocated some budget for the freed Kamlaharis but it is not spent within the specified time period, Chairperson of the Forum, Manjita Chaudhary said.
