KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match between Scotland and Nepal was canceled due to adverse weather conditions, with both teams awarded one point each.


The game held at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in the USA was called off because of strong winds and rain. Nepal, batting first after losing the toss, had reached 26 runs with the loss of one wicket in six overs before the weather forced the game’s cancellation.

In the league standings, Nepal sit in seventh place with six points from 12 matches, having won only two games. Scotland is in third place with 14 points from 11 matches, while the USA currently leads the group.
