KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Police have arrested a man on the charge of murdering his wife with an ax in Tanahun district.
Police said that Om Narayan Shrestha, 42, of Gairiphant, Bhanu Municipality-8, killed his wife Pratiksha Shrestha, 39, with an ax.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Thapa of the District Police Office said that Shrestha, who was injured in the ax attack from her husband, was rushed to Damauli Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared her dead in the course of treatment.
DSP Thapa said that police are currently investigating the incident. Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident occurred due to a domestic dispute.
