Narayanghat-Mugling road accident: Death toll reaches five

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The death toll in a road accident that took place at 17 Kilo along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section has reached five. Another five people have sustained injuries in the accident and one of the injured is in critical condition.

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The death toll in a road accident that took place at 17 Kilo along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section has reached five. Another five people have sustained injuries in the accident and one of the injured is in critical condition.


According to Bhesh Raj Rijal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, the accident occurred at around 3 am today when a microbus going from Mugling to Narayanghat and a bus coming from Narayanghat to Mugling collided with each other.

Raj Bahadur Gurung, 42, from Arughat Rural Municipality-1, Gorkha; the driver of the microbus; an unidentified 40-year-old woman; and 32-year-old and 35-year-old men were killed in the accident. The identities of the four others including the microbus driver have not yet been revealed. 


Police said that two of the injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital and three at Chitwan Teaching Hospital.
