RUPANDEHI, June 28: A 45-year-old man who was kept at a quarantine facility set up at Bardaghat Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi (West) died in course of treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal on Sunday.
RUPANDEHI, Nov 17: Adhikari Vegetable Farm of Suddhodhan Rural Municipality-3 of Rupandehi had got a grant of Rs 400,000 from the government for commercial vegetable farming. The Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative had provided the grant, on condition that the farmer would contribute equal amount, for vegetable farming.
RUPANDEHI, Nov 10: Rupandehi, Kapilbastu and Nawalparasi have given top priority to construction of concrete bridges. The three districts have already completed five such bridges while 51 are under construction. According to the office of the road division, Butwal, the bridges have been designed to widen the road network in the villages and towns. Among the three districts, most of the bridges are being built in Rupandehi. The development has quite elated the locals, who are highly suspicious about timely completion of other projects.
RUPANDEHI, July 1: Because of indifference of the government, pesticide lab in Butwal is not being used. The Rapid Bioassay for Pesticide Residue Laboratory (RBPR) is not utilized because of lack of staff in the office.
RUPANDEHI, June 2: On the banks of Tinau River, there is a settlement of Kushwadiya community who are usually seen carving stones from early mornings to late evenings. These stone carvers have been earning their living by shaping stones for more than two decades.
