KATHMANDU, April 19: The Election Commission (EC) has warned Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa not to involve in anti-polls activities.
The warning from the election body comes a day after DPM Thapa threatened of staying away from polls process and its leaders and cadres were found burning the decisions made by the EC.

“Election Commission is saddened by activities of the party headed by senior cabinet member. EC asks the party not to repeat such activities in the days to come since the commission is working in accordance with constitution and law,” states the EC in a press release issued on Wednesday.
Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has been protesting against the EC after the constitutional body removed ‘Hindu State’ and ‘monarchy’ from the party’s statute.
