Book by Ujwal Thapa ‘Why Nepal?’ released

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The late Ujwal Thapa's book 'Why Nepal?' has been released. Thapa was a young leader, entrepreneur and social activist. On November 5, Saturday, Swarnim Wagle, Mohana Ansari, Dr Govind KC, Gagan Thapa, Manish Jha, Ashutosh Tiwari, Govinda Narayan, Thapa's wife Erica Adhikari and his mother Shanta Thapa jointly launched the book at Nepal Academy Hall.

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The late Ujwal Thapa's book 'Why Nepal?' has been released. Thapa was a young leader, entrepreneur and social activist. On November 5, Saturday, Swarnim Wagle, Mohana Ansari, Dr Govind KC, Gagan Thapa, Manish Jha, Ashutosh Tiwari, Govinda Narayan, Thapa's wife Erica Adhikari and his mother Shanta Thapa jointly launched the book at Nepal Academy Hall.


According to a statement issued by Yatra Publishing House, addressing the event, Dr Govind KC said that Thapa played an important role in changing the culture of Nepali politics. He said, “His working style was mind-blowing. Because of that, it has motivated the political movement to be creative.”

In the program, Manish Jha, Ashutosh Tiwari, Govinda Narayan and Thapa's wife Erica Adhikari spoke in detail about Thapa's personality and the importance of the book. “Today, another dream of Ujwal has come true. This book was prepared by Ujwal himself. He did a lot of work on the presentation and language,” said Erica, also the president of Ujwal Thapa Foundation. She added, “The book will help to know Ujwal's personality and thoughts deeply.”


According to Yatra Publishing House, a collectible version will also be published along with the initial edition of the book. Similarly, it was announced at the program that the Nepali version of the book will be published soon. The royalties from the book will go to the Ujwal Thapa Foundation and be spent on social work.
