KATHMANDU, Dec 24: A person was killed in Chyasal, Lalitpur on Monday night. Police have arrested three people in connection with the murder.
Nayan Gurung, 23, a resident of Sunsari, was killed at The Town Cafe in Chyasal on Monday night. According to the District Police Range, Lalitpur, he was killed by a sharp knife.
Three held in connection with murder of Bhutanese refugee
Navaratna Paudel, Superintendent of Police (SP) of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, said that three people were arrested on the suspicion of being involved in the murder of Gurung and an investigation was underway. The arrested individuals have been identified as Hem Raj Bhatta, 26, who worked at the restaurant, Janak Bahadur Tamang, 22, of Kavre and Padam Lal Bhatt of Darchula.
According to police, Bhatt stabbed Gurung after a dispute while paying the bill after having lunch at Town of Cafe located in Chyasal last night. Bhatt is an employee of the same cafe. Gurung, who was seriously injured, died last night during treatment.
