Rama Sharma wins Yogmaya award

KATHMANDU, June 15: Litterateur Rama Sharma was awarded with the First Yogmaya National Female Writer Award amid a function organized to mark the second anniversary of the Nepal Writers´ Society on Monday.



Sharma received the award that carries a purse of Rs 15,111from chief guest Dr Tara Nath Sharma. On the occasion, Dr Sharma also launched ´Badri Palikheka Kavita´ and Shrestha Piya Pathar´s ´Euta Arkai Baato´.



The award was instituted by general secretary of the society Pawan Alok.



Speaking at the program, Dr Sharma expressed worries over the degradation of Nepali language in Nepal and said that more correct form of Nepali is spoken in Darjeeling instead.



Eight representative litterateurs including Bindhya Subba invited from Darjeeling and many more from Nepal were present on the occasion.
