Nepal bags first gold medal in 10-yr age group int’l open karate

More than 100 athletes from different regions of India, along with from countries like  Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, are participating in the tournament organized by the Indian National Karate Association.

PUNE, Dec 29: Nepal has won a gold medal in the International Open Karate Championship held in Pune. Nepali karate player Siddhartha Rana bagged this medal in the 10 years age-group 'kata' performance. 


More than 100 athletes from different regions of India, along with from countries like  Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, are participating in the tournament organized by the Indian National Karate Association.

As part of the competition, final matches of different age and weight groups will be held today and tomorrow. 


Eighteen male and female players from Nepal are participating in the competition.
