More than 2,000 children out of school in Dang

DANG, April 16: An estimated 2,000 children of the school-going age are out of school in Dang district, despite the government spending large amount of budget in the education sector.

DANG, April 16: An estimated 2,000 children of the school-going age are out of school in Dang district, despite the government spending large amount of budget in the education sector. 


The District Education Development and Coordination Unit, Dang said that they plan to get these children enrolled in school this time around.

Education Officer at the Unit Ramesh Prasad Mainali said a campaign has been started for getting the more than 2,000 children enrolled in school. 


A school enrollment campaign has been launched in all the local levels in Dang district. Education Officer Mainali said official figures show that 2,200 children of the school-going age are out of school in the district and the plan is to get all these children to school. 


He said a discussion has also been held with the stakeholder organisations based in the district in this connection.(RSS)
