Foreign Minister Rana pays tribute to first woman ambassador Shah

Former ambassador Shah passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 92 at her residence in Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has paid tribute to the late Bhinda Ishwari Shah, the first woman ambassador of Nepal.

Minister Dr Rana reached the late Shah's residence at Kalimati, Kathmandu, this afternoon and paid her last respects to the late one by offering a bouquet of flowers. 


Shah, who was then in the foreign service, was appointed the Nepali ambassador to India in May 1988.
