"Maaujung Babusaaheb ko Coat" stages final show

BHAKTAPUR, Sept 23: ‘Maaujung Babusaaheb ko Coat’, a drama organized in coordination between Cultural Corporation Nepal and Association of Nepali Theatre Artists (Natyakarmi Mahasangh) concluded on Friday.

The 30-minute-long drama was written by Bhawani Bhikshu, and directed by Bijaya Bista. 10 artists enacted the roles in the play that was showcased in Rastriya Naach Ghar. 


In the play, the lead character Maaujung Babusaaheb -- a dedicated Rana ruler – sees a transformation of his lifestyle after the changes in the Nepali political scenario in 1950 AD.  The story revolves around the former ruler’s quest to repair a worn out overcoat. To mend his coat, he travels from Nepaljung to Lucknow – India, before it is once again torn in an event.
