Ncell first to apply for data center listing under new directive

The MoCIT had issued the Data Center and Cloud Service Operation and Management Directive, 2081 on January 28. According to it, currently operating data center and cloud service providers must be listed with the department within 6 months.

KATHMANDU, March 9: Private telecom operator Ncell has applied to register its data center with the Department of Information Technology, which is under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT).



The MoCIT had issued the Data Center and Cloud Service Operation and Management Directive, 2081 on January 28. According to it, currently operating data center and cloud service providers must be listed with the department within 6 months. Accordingly, Ncell has become the first service provider to be listed.
