KATHMANDU, March 8: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has released the annual cricket calendar for 2025.
Organizing a press conference on Saturday, CAN unveiled the schedule for various international and domestic competitions for the men's, women's, U-19, and U-16 cricket teams.
CAN's calendar reveals that the Nepal men's cricket team will have a very busy year ahead. The team will play domestic cricket for 12 months and compete in 12 international tournaments.
CAN has emphasized that it designed the schedule with a focus on the T20 World Cup qualifiers and the ICC World Cup League 2.
CAN unveils annual sports calendar for 2024

The men's cricket team will play a T20 series in Hong Kong in April. After their UK tour in May, they will compete in the ICC World Cup League 2 in June, which will feature Scotland, Nepal, and the Netherlands.
The Nepal team will prepare for the T20 World Cup qualifiers by participating in training camps in various locations in Sri Lanka and India.
In October, Nepal will compete in the World Cup qualifiers in Oman. In November, they will participate in the World Cup League 2 in the UAE. In December, Nepal will play ICC World Cup League 2 and T20 series against Oman and the UAE.
The women's cricket team will also compete in several key tournaments in 2025. Nepal will take part in the Women's T20 World Cup qualifiers in Thailand. Additionally, a triangular series between Nepal, the Netherlands, and Thailand has been scheduled.
Bhutan will visit Nepal, and Nepal will play a series against Uganda, UAE, and the Netherlands. Thailand will host the Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
In domestic competitions, organizers will hold the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) in November. The Prime Minister's Cup cricket tournament will take place in March.
Throughout the year, competitions such as the Jay Trophy, Men's Elite Cup, National T20 Championship, Metropolitan Cup, and PM Cup will also take place.
CAN Secretary Paras Khadka announced that organizers will soon make the grading of Nepali cricketers public.
