Bibeksheel Sajha Party announces additional candidates for Kathmandu, Lalitpur

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Bibeksheel Sajha Party (BSP) has announced additional candidates for the upcoming federal parliament and provincial assembly polls from Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts.

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Bibeksheel Sajha Party (BSP) has announced additional candidates for the upcoming federal parliament and provincial assembly polls from Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts. 


Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the BSP said it is fielding Surya Raj Acharya (Kathmandu 2), Amir Raj Maharjan (Lalitpur 2), Ujjwal Krishna Shrestha (Lalitpur 3) for the upcoming federal parliament poll.

While Acharya is a public policy and infrastructure expert, Maharjan is an agro product entrepreneur. The other candidate Shrestha has been running his own party palace and has been engaged in social service for several years.


Similarly, the party is fielding Samixa Baskota (Kathmandu 1 a), Purushottam Dhungel (Kathmandu 1 b) and Rishika Bhattarai (Kathmandu 2 a) as provincial assembly candidates for the province 3. A lawyer by profession, Baskota is currently involved in her family business related to tea and other agro products. Similarly, Dhungel served as Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Student Union (NSU) district president in Dhanusha and was active in NC politics until recently. Another candidate Bhattarai is a recent graduate of Management and Leadership Program from a US-based university. 


The party said that it will announce its candidates for other constituencies gradually.
