Sajha, Bibeksheel unify to become Bibeksheel Sajha Party

KATHMANDU, July 25: Newly-emerged alternative political parties -- Bibeksheel Nepali Dal and Sajha Party -have unified to become Bibeksheel Sajha Party on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, July 25: Newly-emerged alternative political parties -- Bibeksheel Nepali Dal and Sajha Party -have unified to become Bibeksheel Sajha Party on Wednesday.


The logo Taraju (scale) which was being used by Sajha Party will be the electoral symbol of the newly formed party.

As per the agreement the new party will have a 34-member central committee – with 17 members from each party. Similarly, seven central committee members will be taken from seven provinces. 


Rabindra Mishra and Ujjwal Bahadur Thapa have become joint coordinators in the committee while Anusha Thapa, Govinda Narayan Timalsina, Nirupama Yadav,  Mumaram Yadav, Ramesh Paudyal  and Surya Raj Acharya will remain as members . The meeting of the party will be chaired by Mishra.

The other  CC members are Abdus Miya, Arjun Singh Thakuri, Umed Pun, Om Aryal, Kiran Krishna Shrestha, Kishor Thapa, Jivan Shrestha, Dinesh Prasai, Prakash Chandra Pariyar, Pukar Bam, Manabi Paudel, Ranju Neupane, Ramesh Maharjan,  Ram Shah, Reshu Aryal, Shashi Bikram Karki, Shova Shakya, Saroj Dhital, Sadhana Rai, Subuna Basnet, Sobhit Pariyar and Gyanendra Niraula. The remaining four CC members  will be appointed later according to the press release issued today.
