KATHMANDU, Feb 27: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal has called on the House of Representatives (HoR) to reject the US-aid project (MCC) compact agreement ‘for being treasonous’.
Participating in the discussion on the agreement in the HoR meeting on Sunday, he said that Nepal's independence, nationality and sovereignty would be harmed and it should not be ratified.
He said that tabling the MCC agreement in parliament was objectionable. "It is an insult to the country to present the MCC in the parliament. It is a betrayal of the country and the people. Those who support it will be national traitors,” Rawal said.
He also called on parliament to reject the MCC agreement, saying it was treasonous.
