KATHMANDU, Oct 2: President Ramchandra Paudel has prorogued the ongoing session of both houses of the Federal Parliament.

According to the Office of the President, the session was prorogued in accordance with Article 93 (2) of the Constitution on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers made on September 29 (Asoj 13).
The prorogation will take effect from midnight Friday, the President’s Office said.
Presidential Office spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Shahi announced the decision through a statement issued on Thursday.
