KATHMANDU, July 29: Khag Raj Adhikari, former Minister for Health and Population, welcomed the government’s decision reduce privatization in medical education. However, he added that the Medical Education Bill had its flaws.

“The Bill has only focused on MBBS and MD. However, there are other spectrums of medical education that has been missed, and need to be addressed,” Adhikari said. “Such areas include nursing, pharmacy, alternative medication, allopathic among others. Only when these are incorporated can the medical education be holistic.”
