BIRGUNJ, Dec 30: Birgunj Metropolitan City has dispatched a seven-day ultimatum to traders occupying BP Udyan, near Ghantaghar Chowk, for selling vegetables and fruits. The notice, issued on Friday by Chief Administrative Officer Arvind Lal Karna, demands the market be cleared within this timeframe.

This is the second notice from the municipality after the 15-day deadline expired on December 11, during which traders failed to vacate the space. The market's encroachment has caused disruptions to the beautification efforts in BP Udyan. Karna confirmed that traders would be relocated to an agricultural market in Nagwa, Birgunj Metropolitan City-16.
