Pokhara, March 11: Police have rounded up 13 bandh demonstrators from different places of Kaski district this morning as they were enforcing a bandh (shutdown) in protest against the killing on Thursday of a Nepali national, Govinda Gautam, by Indian SSB personnel in Kanchanpur district.
The shutdown is enforced by the CPN (Maoist) Netra Bikram Chand group.
Four bandh enforcers arrested in Bardiya
They were arrested from Prithvi Chowk and Sisuwa when they were forcing shops and markets to close down, spokesman of the District Police Office, Kaski Khadga Bahadur Khatri stated.
Although motorcycles are in operation in Pokhara, public transport vehicles are not plying. Similarly, the industries, market and education institutions are closed due to the bandh. RSS
