KATHMANDU, Oct 11: A westerly low-pressure system and monsoon winds are currently influencing Nepal’s weather. Mountain areas are generally cloudy, while the rest of the country has partly cloudy skies.
Mountain and hill areas will remain partly cloudy this afternoon, while the Tarai will be mostly clear. Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is possible at some locations in the mountain and hill areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali provinces, and at one or two locations in similar areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Light rain and snowfall likely today
Tonight, mountain and hill areas will remain partly cloudy, while the Tarai will be mostly clear. Mist is possible in parts of the Tarai toward morning.
Light rain and snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, are possible at one or two locations in the mountain areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali provinces.
