KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Snowfall along with rain is expected in different parts of the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather in Nepal is currently a partial influence of westerly winds.
Currently, the weather has experienced a partial change in the hilly areas of the country, while it is mainly clear in the rest of the area. A few places in Terai are covered with fog today.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
The MFD has said that the weather will be mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi region, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy. Also, there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki province.
There is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi province and in one or two places in the remaining high hilly and mountainous areas.
The weather tonight will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, and the weather will be mainly clear in the remaining areas.
According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi province and light snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
