The market was held as the concluding event for a month-long program under #MakerKT's 'SheEO series — For Fresh, Female Entrepreneurs' that was categorized into eight different sets of workshops. The SheEO series was supported by Global India Fund.
The participants were a part of the series where they got hands-on experience on using tools, making Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects, and learned how to give shape to their ideas, promote brands in social media and make prototype apps or websites.
"When women get indulged in making and using tools, you cannot deny the glow they get on their faces. The SheEO series was about giving them a hands-on experience with tools and equipment, so that they get more involved in making things. This is a platform for them to market their products, build network with other female entrepreneurs and deal with customers," said Priya Joshi, founder and director of #MakerKT.
Joshi added that they were also planning to make it an annual event for many more female entrepreneurs to involve and evolve.
