KATHMANDU, Dec 22: The Mugling-Kathmandu road will be closed for three hours daily from today.
The Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project has stated that the road will be shut down from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm daily from today until December 28 due to the need to cut rocks at some places including a roundabout for the expansion of the road under construction with upgrading.

The project has issued a notice and urged drivers traveling to Kathmandu via the highway to follow lane discipline and drive. It is stated that there will be no obstruction to the movement of essential vehicles such as ambulances, police vehicles and fire engines during this time.
According to Bijay Darai, engineer of the Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project West Section, heavy vehicles going from Naubise towards Gajuri will be stopped at Galchhi-Baireni and light vehicles at Jarekhet for the improvement of the Pokharebhir bend.
Similarly, vehicles heading towards Naubise from Chitwan will be stopped at Chalise and Ghatbensi. Vehicles going from Mugling to Malekhu will be stopped at Majhimtar and Charaundi Bazaar for the improvement of the Bishaltar bend.
